Phowa in the Konchog Chidu Tradition

  • The Embodiment of the Very Profound Three Rare and Sublime Ones (The Three Jewels):
The Transference, the Excellent Path of Bliss

This is a short phowa compilation by Chatral Rinpoche. He explains his intention in composing this text as follows:

Since the terma scriptures “The transference of shooting the arrow through the skylight” do not clearly describe the aspired visualizations, I noticed that uneducated people were confused. Here in Yolmo, where the profound teachings of Jatson are widespread, a good manual for transference practice has not yet emerged. Responding to insistent requests by the ngakpas and priests of Götsang Ling, Sermathang, Chumig. and Dechenthang, this was written by a humble man of the dark age, the indolent Sangye Dorje, who composed this at the hermitage of Neding named Yang-trod Kunzang Cho-ling (Dharma-Garden of Universal Goodness).
