In the summer of 2026, Khentrul Rinpoche spent an extensive period of time in Genuk Gompa, Khumbu, to practice the Tsa-Lung practice of the Jangter Tradition’s Pamo Sabgye (phag mo zab rgyas) from the lineage of Mingling Lochen Dharma Shri with two retreat companions. Khentrul Rinpoche studied this text under Nyung Ne Lama in Sangngak Choling Gompa in Okuldunga, when he was twelve years old. This summer, Rinpoche read the texts with Lama Zangpo of Genuk Gompa and Tulku Ngawang Lobsang, discussing and comparing their understanding.

Lama Zangpo is among the last lineage holders of the Tsa-Lung Practice in the Jangter tradition. Therefore, it was a rare occasion to practice and learn with him.
